the week off.

. perhaps you were made for such a time as this .

so what does one do when the ranch is empty. we sleep in & take in the peaceful & calm. we help ms. sharla with chores & go out for supper with her. & we get out with our horses one morning to just enjoy the cool weather. one day we clean things like our garage fridge or the baby truck. & we join ms. regina & ms. brooke in going through the school house cupboards. so when the ranch is empty there is still work to be done yet we most definitely mixed in a nice amount of fun.

doyle & monica. alex. erin & jacklyn kate. could it actually be real that they were going to stop by the ranch!? well there they were driving up the hill so yes it was real. i was overjoyed that they journeyed out of their way home to stop & see their little sister at this ranch place. quickly we ate quesadillas & then a tour. it was short but it was very very nice.

tuesday our van, gladwin, transported ms. sam, ms. katie, ms. jenna & myself to Branson. ms. sam & i had tickets purchased to watch Esther at sight & sound. this has been a bucket list item for me & i think i smiled the whole time. this was the most incredible experience. the story of Esther came alive in front of our eyes & there we sat beholding it all. my favourite story seems to even have more meaning now. "perhaps you were made for such a time as " each of us are here on earth in this moment not by coincidence but because God knew that the world needed one of you in such a time as this.

after Esther we found the other mentors. ms. brooke met us here as she journeyed back from central. we feasted upon mexican food before heading to experience the branson ferris wheel. i will say my not liking heights made the first round not enjoyable but the second time around was so very nice. then home to gentry we drove. 2.5 hrs down some nice curvy roads where we nearly smushed a cow. & i stared out the windows enthralled once more by the fact that lightning bugs are indeed real.

thursday & friday ms. joetta came to the ranch to do some TBRI  (trust based relational intervention)  training with us staff. a very interesting two afternoons.

Grandpa & Grandma Koehn were traveling through on saturday so i met them for lunch in siloam springs. that was a very nice time. & after supper this day mr. dougs, ms. sam & i journeyed to city lake park back in siloam to walk the enchanted forest trail. we found that this park has an incredibly nice disk golf course & a fun looking rope swing into the creek. after completing our exercise for the evening :) we found ourselves at pure joy ice cream down town feasting on a scoop of cool smooth greatness. we proceeded to stroll down the streets peering in windows of closed shops. what a lovely saturday.

& now the week off has come to a close. the ranchers arrive back here this day. which is monday. & things begin to look very real for ms. sam & i. the little murmurs of taking on more responsibility after home visits causes a little bit of fear in my heart.

so if you think of us here at the ranch you could sigh a prayer.

they are felt.

till next time

ms. tif
